Spanish is not my first language, or my second. I moved to Mexico with ZERO Spanish skills. I didn’t take it in school, and I didn’t grow up around enough Spanish speakers to pick it up.

I started classes around December '21 and spent 15 months or 65 weeks taking classes 2-3 times a week. Let's call that 150 hours.
Let's average an extra 3.5 hours per week with dedicated practice on dates/random people, etc., and we can say I spent 360 hours learning and practicing Spanish. Now, here is a graphic on how long it typically takes students to learn Spanish when learning - typically 575 - 600 hours.
