Frankly…Most dudes move abroad thinking they’re about to unlock a magical lifestyle full of sunshine, cheaper rent, and women who smile.
Simple Fantasy: escape the Western wasteland, land in paradise. be appreciated.

I think at first, it feels like that fantasy is real.

Dating app lights up. Everyone smiles at you. The girl in yoga pants flirts with you at the park. You go on more dates in a week than you did in a year back home.

But then there’s the hidden cost.

Many expats quickly figured that attention isn’t always affection, and attraction isn’t always loyalty. Some start spending more money than they should. Your new "girlfriend" is oddly obsessed with Instagram. They’re funding weekend getaways and getting ghosted randomly.

After talking to enough people, if realize I need to write an article to sum up some of these traps that guys are falling into. ( After this, I’ll probably write a couple articles to help women out too)

Either way, a couple of things I want to talk about are..
Spotting the difference between a real connection and performances

A little insight on how local dudes date (and why they don't get finessed, or why they also do)

Tips for vetting chicks without coming off paranoid

How to know if you’re in a transactional relationship

This isn’t a “pickup” article. This is just some field tested advice for foreign dudes living abroad who want to date smart.
