Dating Apps in Mexico
Which dating app ( If any ) is right for you
This is a follow-up to my previous article on the three women you'll meet in Mexico. This is not a debate on whether you should use dating apps or not. This is simply to inform you of what's available on dating apps and which one might be best for you.
Tinder
Tinder is the catch-all dating app. It's the most widely known and popular. Any average girl will be on Tinder. Fortunately, unlike other Latin American countries, you won't see Tinder full of prostitutes. For whatever reason, Mexico does not have the problem where Tinder is full of chicks looking to sell their "services." If you don't speak Spanish, Tinder may be a little difficult because you're going to meet a lot of girls who don't speak English.
Tinder is where you will meet the lowest tier of chicks with a mix of mid-tier chicks. If you're fine running the barrio gambit and occasionally getting a couple of mid-tier chicks, this is the app for you. If your picture quality is average/not outstanding, this will be the place for you. Most people in Latin America are not walking around with new iPhones, so few people have crystal-clear, high-quality, and adventurous pictures.

Quality: 4 -7
Tier: Low to Mid
Refer to my article on Taking Good Photos for IG and Dating Apps. If you're reading this, you're likely a Westerner with a phone good enough to take close-up pictures of the moon. Use this to your advantage. Most guys, in general, take horrible pictures. If you have high-quality pictures in Latin America, you will get a lot of matches simply for not having grainy pictures taken with a burner phone.
Bumble
Bumble is where you'll find a lot of mid-tier chicks and a good bunch of top-tier chicks. Why? It's the nature of the app. It caters to the demographic that wants the ability to message the guy first. It caters to a higher-end crowd, typically in their 20s and 30s, who have at least basic English fluency.
*Bumble is my favorite app of the bunch. The quality is much better than any other app. You will also see a lot of foreigners here that are down for fun

Quality: 6 - 8
Tier: Mid to High
Hinge
Hinge is special because it only caters to the English-speaking crowd. It's not available in the Mexican app store, so the majority of people on this app will be upper-class Mexicans who have, at some point, left the country, or foreign women. Since Hinge is marketed as the app that wants you to delete it, among the Mexican crowd, you'll find more women interested in a more mature relationship. I don't use the word "serious" because women are still here to have fun, but on average, they will be more upper-class women interested in "blatant" fuck boys. You'll still have plenty of short-term hookups here, but your dates are going to be cocktail or wine dates instead of going out for tacos and relying on Google Translate to communicate.
Because this app isn't in the Mexican app store, and many foreigners will be in Mexican cities for vacation, if you're interested in meeting foreign chicks who just want to have a weekend, a week, or a maximum of two weeks of fun, then this is the app for you. Due to many people being "tourists," be prepared for a lot of your matches to fizzle out because the chick was only in the city for a week, either responding late or being busy doing tourist things and hooking up with the first dude who gave her information on where to find a good spicy margarita.
Another interesting feature of Hinge is that you will find a lot of women with actual jobs. With the large number of digital nomads coming to Mexican cities, you'll see women with tech careers. I've met a lot of tech workers, entrepreneurs; women working at the Facebooks and Coinbases of the world. I used to avoid people like this, but every now and then, you want a more interesting conversation.

Quality: 5 - 8
Tier: Mid to High + Lots of foreigners
The League
This app should really only be used if you are over 35 and like to or are used to dealing with professionals and careerist women. There are very few people on The League, but you will find a lot of career women who didn't get married or got divorced and are looking to settle down. Overall, I don't recommend this app when a man of any age can date younger, more attractive women in Mexico.

Tier: Mid to high - Career women
Badoo & OkCupid
These apps have pretty much fallen off in the States and have a reputation for being trashy. It's the same in Mexico. You simply won't find a lot of decent women here. What you will find is a lot of lGbT people on here - the capital letters signify what you'll find most. If you really don't care and just wat to get your dick wet, these are the apps for you. I have met a lot of guys who love these apps because they don’t need any game or experience. These apps will help end your dry streak. Do you though

*Feeld
I'm adding this app as an honorable mention. Feeld is specifically for the kink/threesome/non-monogamous crowd. Even in Mexico City, there are not many members. You'll likely run out of prospects in 2-3 days, and every day after that, you'll see 2-4 new people joining. The majority of these people will not be very attractive, but there will be the 25 percent of hot chicks who just broke up with their boyfriend, took a vacation, and just want a 1-2 night kinky fling. I admit to creating an account here every month or so and hooking up with some chicks either on their way to or coming back from Tulum who just want one more hookup before they go home.
Average Age Group: Mostly late 20s +
Quality: 4 - 7
Tier: Mid - Lots of weirdos though
Instagram
Almost every dating app has women putting their Instagram handles in their dating profiles. Many people dislike this practice and assume that women are solely seeking new followers. While this may be true for some women, it is often used as a filter. You can include a line in your message to them, and they can decide whether to respond based on your profile. This gives you an advantage. Apart from that, I have written three separate parts in my series on Instagram game. This information could help you completely phase out dating apps.
