In the wild and wonderful world of dating, my friends, sometimes cultural and linguistic barriers can make things a bit tricky. Take, for instance, the case of a hot-blooded Mexicana señorita and an American hombre who doesn't habla español, lacks local connections, and hasn't quite put down any roots yet. While the allure of an exotic relationship may be tempting, let's not forget that in the most impoverished corners of the world, the most beautiful women have options - many options. And when we're talking about an 8 or 9 on the beauty scale, well, let's just say it's no walk in the park to keep that kind of fire burning. With so many high-value local men vying for her attention, how can our American friend expect to compete?
Picture this, mi amigos. You're a gringo who studied Spanish in high school and happen to meet a lovely Latina lady who's recently moved to your city. If you're an American guy looking to score with a foreign lady who's got a thing for foreigners, it may not be that hard. With a bit of charm and some smooth moves, you may be able to get her to jump into bed with you faster than the local fellas. But let's not kid ourselves - a foreign fling isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Sure, that sexual experience may be one for the books, but the reality of the situation is that a relationship with a foreign guy just isn't all that great. He's not plugged into the local scene, he probably doesn't have a sweet ride or any other status symbols to his name, and he doesn't share the same cultural references as she does. And let's not forget the language barrier - constantly speaking in English can be exhausting for her.
A girl wants a relationship that's exciting and relaxing, not one where she has to constantly put in effort just to understand what you're saying. And if she's a real stunner, she's got plenty of local guys who not only speak the language, but have all the cultural perks that come with being from the same place as her. So, in my experience, these kinds of relationships rarely last more than a couple of months. You'll get your kicks for a little while, but eventually, she'll move on to someone who's a better fit for her needs.

In my travels, I've found that the dating game in foreign countries can be a bit tricky. If you're a solid 8 out of 10 and you're going for someone of the same caliber, you might find that the relationship burns out quickly. The allure of a local guy with all the bells and whistles of the culture can be too strong for your foreign flame to resist. But, if you're willing to lower your standards a bit and go for a girl who's a 6 or below, you might find that the tables turn in your favor.
These lower-value girls will be eager to lock you down, seeing you as the highest value they're likely to ever get. They'll see you as a long-term partner and won't get bored with you after just a few weeks. In fact, they may even start studying English to prepare for a life with you, throwing their own language and culture aside to be with someone of higher value. It's important to note that this dynamic can be a bit one-sided, with the girl putting in more effort to make things work, but if you're looking for a stable and committed relationship in a foreign land, this might be the way to go if you truly don’t want to upgrade.
4. The Leftover Eater

In the game of foreign romance, there is another avenue worth exploring: women who have hit the ripe age of 26 and older. In countries like South America, single women in this age range may be feeling the pressure to secure a high-value partner and settle down. Even if they were considered a 9 in their youth, they may now be more accessible to a foreign man for a long-term relationship, simply because they haven't found success with local men for one reason or another.
The 8 or 9 who had plenty of options and wouldn't have given you the time of day when she was 21 may now be open to the idea of marrying you at 28, when her options have dried up and you're her best bet (sound familiar?). While I personally don't prefer the company of women over 30, they could be a viable pool to select from, especially since they may be eager to settle down and start a family. Just be prepared for the fact that you may not be the first guy in line and that sex may be a longer wait than with the sexy local man she met on her last trip to Majorca.

Yooo what a bunch of bullshit this is! As a mexican woman in her 20s let me tell you people, none of this is true. None of this bs about women actively looking for specific looks or rates, there's as much variety as in any other place: we date for looks, we date for love, we date for money etc.
Also, "ripe age of 26"?? Women wanting to settle down at 28?? Most of my american friends got married in their 20s while all of my mexican friends are having a hard time figuring out their careers and struggling with the economy!
